For Edie Fisher, lacrosse is more than just a sport, it’s a lifelong passion sparked by family and strengthened by friendships. A senior on the girls’ lacrosse team, Edie has dedicated the past nine years to the game, following in the footsteps of her older sister, who first introduced her to the sport.
“My sister has been my biggest inspiration,” Edie shares. “She’s the one who helped me fall in love with lacrosse.”
That love has carried Edie through nearly a decade of competition, with her fondest memories centered around the friendships she built along the way. One of her most unforgettable experiences was last year’s trip away to Kings Island, a reminder of how lacrosse has given her connections that go far beyond the field.
As an attacker, Edie thrives in the offensive zone, embracing the strategy and precision it takes to score. “Attack is all I’ve ever known, and I love the thought process and execution that go into playing on the offensive end,” she says.
Like any athlete, she faces pressure, but she’s learned to manage it. “I clear my head and take deep breaths to calm myself down,” she explains. And when it comes to game-day rituals, there’s one she never skips—wearing a ribbon in her hair. “If I don’t, I swear it’s a bad game,” she laughs.
As Edie wraps up her senior season, she leaves behind a legacy of dedication, skill, and camaraderie, qualities that will continue to shape her journey both on and off the field.
