The key to the game of life is all about confidence and sports are no different. Kam Anthony agrees with it too. Confidence comes with accomplishments and accomplishments come with hard work. That is no different than what Kam Anthony did to get here to Ball state.

After catching up with him and being able to talk to the Ball State tight end about how his high school accomplishments affect him he said that is a lot of confidence. “Like, I was like all hard work paid off. Like, I trained almost every day and day out really trying to you know to get to the point where I want to be.” Said Anthony.

Confidence is such a big part of life in our world today outside also. Confidence for a lot of people comes from their peers doubting them and it’s no different for Anthony.

After asking how having to reprove himself on a bigger campus is affecting him he said. “I love, I love having kind of being the underdog. Said Anthony Being like, yeah this kid’s not going to be anything. Like, he’s not that good and then proving them wrong is my favorite thing.” Said Anthony

Although you have the confidence now though too it takes a little while for it to build up for these football players. You know always being on the spotlight while trying to play a game is a lot of pressure.

Following asking Anthony how the pressure of always being on the spotlight back in high school and knowing a potential future coach is always watching him. He said,” Players that were highly recruited just in my class alone. So like we had like Alabama coaches at our games, Tom Allen from IU was at our games. And so that’s something I really tried to not think about, because if you were thinking about that too much, like you’ll mess up.

The biggest part to is just playing your game and not worrying about what other people are doing. And that is something Anthony mentioned for advice for younger athletes looking to move on to the next level. “Don’t worry about having success early. Like especially like if your even in your first couple years of high school like don’t worry about, like who’s getting offers or who is a big recruit in your area.” Said Anthony. Confidence is the key to the success within the sports world and is something that you have to build yourself.
