Girls Soccer defeats North Central 3-0 at North Central High School on September 6.
The HSE Girls soccer team defeated the North Central Panthers on September 6 in a non-conference match at North Central High School. This victory marks their 9th win of their undefeated 2025-26 season. They were coming off of a 6-0 win the previous night, against Plainfield High School, and running on adrenaline. Although, North Central brought an unexpected battle of high-intense competition.
Sydney May executed the first goal of the game, giving the Royals a head start into the second half.
“At half, Davidson told us we needed to bring the grit we had in our rival game against Noblesville,” said Bailey Sapp, “We were only up 2-0 at half against Noblesville, and ended that game with an additional 7 points. So he knew we were capable of more this time around.”
While HSE wasn’t significantly ahead of the Panthers, they utilized this as fuel for the remaining time within the game. With determination and reliance on each other, they managed 2 more goals, one by Riley Boyd and another by Sloane May. Margeaux Henning and Rebekah Tekrony each had an assist.
North Central did not let down without a fight, but ultimately, the Royals kept hold of their reign.
This victory was a portrayal of HSE’s strong commitment to remain at the top. They remain ranked as 1st, not only in the state of Indiana, but nationally.
