Hunter Brandenburg is junior on the offense line here at HSE, this year he has been experiencing many obstacles. He started the year off well being seen as one of our key pieces to the offensive line. Earlier in the semester he tested positive for mono and after his recovery battling for weeks he made is return against the rival Fishers Tigers on September 12th . Unfortunately during the third quarter he tore his ACL and meniscus. Although he has been sidelined for the rest of the year due to injury he’s continuing his journey as a member of the team. “I’m trying my best to bring the energy everyday…” Brandenburg says regarding him being connected to the team without pads hunter has decided to embrace his role for the rest of the year. Hunter makes a point to try to bring the best out of his teammates to fill the gap left by him not being able to be on the field for practices and games on Friday. The next step for Brandenburg is his surgery on October 23rd and then he begins his rehab and preparing for his senior year, which will be a challenge of its own, but Hunter is excited to see what his future has in store and is determined to make it back out on the field for Fridays next year.
