On Saturday November 30th the Boys Basketball Team took to Pike Highschool to partake in an out of conference match up against the Red Devils. Unfortunately, the game didn’t go in favor of the royals as the game ended in a score of 63-57 Pike. Senior guard Braeden Totton like many of the royals had a rough night going 2 for 16, having 10 points and fouling out “I’m disappointed as I felt and know I can be better not just for myself but for my teammates. I am excited for Friday as we get a chance to bounce back at home in a conference game.” Braeden says. Fortunately, optimism is high on the team as junior forward Luke Weemer who had 17 points Saturday says “I felt we mostly got the shots we wanted but we had rough shooting night and sometimes that happens. But overall, it was the first game of the year and people should expect more from us this year.” Key Second year varsity players Jack Jacobs and Maverick Young are expected to have a bounce back game Friday after Jack only having 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists and Maverick only having 6 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Outside of Jack, Maverick and Luke the junior core has a lot in store for the rest of the season. Stay tuned as the Boys move on to face Avon for their first inner conference and first home game of the season on Friday December 2
