With the bonds formed, the memories made, and the celebrations cheered, the season finally came to an end after a long 4 months. The Senior class of 2025 is now beginning to move to the next steps thinking about their futures outside of swimming and how their friendships will continue far after they walk across that stage.
The Senior class of 2025 has just completed their season, one filled with strong bonds, unforgettable memories, and celebrations that marked both individual and collective achievements. After four long months of hard work, dedication, and teamwork, the season has finally come to an end. For these seniors, this time represents more than just the completion of another year of swimming; it symbolizes the culmination of years of growth, both as athletes and as individuals.
As they reflect on the friendships forged during early morning practices, intense training sessions, and the highs and lows of competition, the class of 2025 understands that these connections go beyond the confines of the pool. The laughter shared in the locker rooms, the shared struggles in the heat of the moment, and the support through victories and defeats have all contributed to the strength of their bonds. These friendships have been a constant throughout their time in the sport and will endure far beyond the final swim meet.
“The girls team has always been so supportive of everyone swimming.” said Kiley Zoller, “we are always lined up along the side of the pool cheering the rest of the team on. It is really special to hear teammates cheer for me before and during a race. It gives me more confidence and helps me push through tough swims because I want to do well for them and our team. “
As graduation approaches, these seniors are beginning to look ahead to their futures. The path outside the pool may seem uncertain, but the lessons learned from swimming—discipline, perseverance, teamwork—will continue to guide them in their next steps. While the transition from being student-athletes to entering the next phase of their lives can be overwhelming, they carry with them the confidence that their friendships and the experiences they’ve shared will last a lifetime.
“I’ve met my best friends.” said kiley Zeoller, “that i know i’ll stay in touch with”
For the Senior Swimmers of 2025, the end of the season marks not just the end of an era, but the beginning of new opportunities. As they prepare to walk across that stage in a few short months, they will be stepping into a world of possibilities, but they will always have the memories, friendships, and lessons from the pool to remind them of how far they’ve come and how much they are capable of achieving.
“It felt bittersweet because I’m going to miss my sport but I’m excited for the future.” said Zoe Rehm, “This moment made me truly realize I’m almost done with high school and onto the next chapter so it was definitely emotional especially since I’m so close to my teammates but it was also exciting.”
