In 2026, HSE Girl’s Tennis will be the first team to play on the recently constructed tennis courts.

“It is a privilege to be on the first team to break into the new courts,” said senior varsity player, Samantha Francis.

HSE started building and working on construction for the tennis courts last year in the fall. The courts were remolded after 27 years. The boys tennis season was under construction for their entire season, and after the long waited arrival, the new courts are here and easy to play on.

The HSE girls tennis team shows their excitement for their season playing on the upgraded courts.

“Now that we have bleachers behind every court, it makes it much easier to watch and cheer on your teammates! The coaches are also able to coach everybody a lot better since the courts are broken up into sections,” said junior varsity player, Julia Anderson.

HSE is funding more upgrades for multiple sports. Fishers is said to invest approximately $3.6 million in improvements to athletic fields at Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School to benefit student-athletes, youth sports organizations, and the broader Fishers community. 

“When schools invest in extracurriculars, it makes students more willing to not only participate but give it their all,” said Samantha Francis.
