As winter sports wrap up, Southeastern Sports Network is shifting its focus to the start of the spring season. Over the past few months, we covered a full slate of ten sports featuring basketball games, wrestling meets, dance competitions and other winter events, highlighting key moments and celebrations. I asked Omar Elsayed who was the winter Executive director for Southeastern Sports Network what his favorite part of winter was.
“My favorite part of winter sports, both as an executive and a member of SSN, has been watching our staff continue to grow and raise the standard of our work.” Said Elsayed “This semester especially, we’ve welcomed newcomers better than ever, and seeing them get involved and develop has been exciting and promising for the future of the program. I’m looking forward to what’s next!”
With those seasons almost complete, our attention turns to spring sports.
Spring sports bring a different pace and atmosphere. Instead of indoor gyms and arenas, games and meets move outdoors to baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, golf courses, and so much more. This change also brings new coverage opportunities. Southeastern Sports Network will continue producing high quality content that highlights Hamilton Southeastern athletes. I asked Leah Zaradich what she was excited for as the softball team lead and the transition to spring.
“My favorite part about transitioning into spring is new beginnings. I love getting to know my new team and creating new ideas for the sport.” Said Zaradich “I am [also] excited to get to be outside again while getting content and creating cinematic videos and photos.”
This season, viewers can expect live coverage, creative content, and a growth in our program. In addition, Southeastern Sports Network will continue to post on Instagram @southeasternsportsnetwork where you can find live clips on our story, score updates, links to the live broadcast, and schedules for spring sports. Our website https://gallery.southeasternmedianetwork.com is where you can purchase photos of you sport or even a sport prior to spring.
“What stands out most is our ability to go above and beyond. Producing professional-level content, traveling to cover events, and doing meaningful work we’re genuinely passionate about is something really special.” Said Elsayed “I’m very grateful to our advisers for creating these opportunities while constantly pushing us to improve and giving us a platform to express ourselves and build our portfolios.”
The transition from winter to spring is more than a schedule change. It reflects the complete commitment of Hamilton Southeastern athletes and coaches. As teams begin new seasons with new goals, Southeastern Sports Network will continue to capture the hard work, preparation, and dedication that define Hamilton Southeastern sports.
