On March 25th 2026, Fishers High School hosted mudsock vs The Hamilton Southeastern Royals at Fishers high School. The game ended is a convincing 21-0 victory for the royals as they improved to a 7-3 record.
Tyler Drouin, a senior on the team contributed his first varsity career goal to the 21-count tally. A first goal is significant, but the backstory behind it is much more compelling.
Drouin was a standout hockey player for the HSE A team by leading the state in points. He took a very important role of the team as they placed 2nd in the state sadly losing to Culver in Hammond, Indiana. Tyler said “my role has honestly been similiar, Although I am way more experienced in hockey, I still try and be the best version of myself for the team.”
As this is Drouin’s first year even playing lacrosse, scoring in a varsity game is a huge milestone. Tyler said for the season “scoring was definitely my main goal because I play D, so now that is out the way I can focus completely on my role for the team and getting some big hits now.”
Ii asked Drouin what was one word to describe his goal, and he replied “electric. To see all the boys so excited got me pumped and to see JV watching the game was just the cherry on top. The whole sideline was crazy.”
The way Drouin describes the teams celebration really shows the culture of the HSE Lacrosse program and why they show so much success through the season.
Make sure to catch a Lacrosse game this season, and to celebrate the huge milestones like this one this year.
