Usually a passion or interest appears at a young age and continues to grow with you as years pass by. Eventually, there will be a certain time where you come face to face with two paths and a hard decision to make. Towards the end of your high school years that predicament might become more difficult to answer, but a answer you must find quickly. Will you continue on ? Or will you finally step away, at least a little.
“I am going to Indiana University to major in speech languages and hearing sciences,” Natalie Greig said. “and i’m gonna audition for the RedStepper dance team and see what happens.”
There are many ways to continue doing something you love. Even if your interested in pursing something else, there are tons of options available for whatever capacity you want to keep pursuing it at. And lots of ways to prepare going into something new.
“I do feel prepared to take the next step towards college dance,” Summer Wolf said. “My coaches have helped me in many ways, and i’ve helped myself too. Like, i’ve been attending a lot of dance clinic’s for college teams which has made me feel more comfortable about my decision.”
The best way to prepare for the future is to work beyond the team. Coaches can help you to learn, but putting in the work yourself is the best way to improve and get ready for what’s coming.
“I’m definitely going to miss my team and coaches a lot,” Mila Shah said. “i’ve built such a strong bond with them, and we’ve all grown and improved so much together.”
The connection you build with your team is like no other, the bond feels similar to what you’d call a family. You guys are constantly around each other, learning and improving each day. While supporting each other in every single way.
“No matter what path i take i’m excited for the new opportunities and memories i’ll make. And i’m grateful for all the team has done for me.”
